The Fund for Strategic Dialogue and Partnership with the Islamic World, as part of the Group of Strategic Vision ‘Russia – Islamic World’, together with the Bulgarian Islamic Academy and the Project Office of the International Youth Cooperation on the Russia – OIC direction, implements the annual Bulgarian Dialogue of Cultures project aimed at the development of intercultural and international youth dialogue.
In 2021, there will be held the V Anniversary International Summer School ‘Bolgarian Dialogue of Cultures – 2021’, the topic of which will be ‘Education and Dialogue of Religions. The Experience of Russia and Countries of the Islamic World’. During the International Summer School, participants will be offered a rich program of work, cultural and educational activities.
The event will take place in August 2021 at the Bulgarian Islamic Academy (Bolgar, Republic of Tatarstan).
The event includes an open essay competition in the Russian language (1 000 to 2 000 words) on any of the proposed topics:
1) Religious and Cultural Traditions of Major Confessions in Russia.
2) Theology in Religious Education.
3) Religion in art of the peoples in the world.
4) Dialogue of Cultures as a Factor in the Sustainable Development of the Global World.
5) Regional Experience of Interreligious Dialogue Development in Educational Institutions.
Essays will be accepted until 01 June 2021 inclusive, in electronic format with the obligatory marking ‘Essay Competition’ in the subject line to the e-mail address: iyazigantdinov@bolgar.academy. The selection of applicants will be carried out by the competition committee and the results will be announced by 18 June 2021.
