The Kremlin has determined the possibility of imposing sanctions against Iran

08 May 2019

It’s too early to talk about Russia's accession to sanctions against Iran for ceasing to fulfill part of a nuclear deal. The Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, Dmitry Peskov, declared about this in a conversation with reporters.

At the same time, he emphasized that, the current situation is very serious. “The situation is serious, it is certainly provoked by previous decisions. I want to remind that the President specifically has underlined that ill-conceived, voluntaristic decisions that lead to unreasonable pressure on Iran just provoke further undesirable steps, which we now face”, he noted.

It is alleged that Iran stops the implementation of two points of the nuclear deal, it has become known earlier today. Last May, the United States withdrew from the transaction, which then reinstated all sanctions against Tehran that were in force until the document was signed.
