The world community should prepare for the global crisis caused, among other things, by the coronavirus pandemic,
the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov told "Moscow. Kremlin. Putin" on the Russia-1 TV channel.
"We are aware that the global economic crisis, which was triggered by the coronavirus, will still manifest itself and we need to prepare for this crisis. Of course, it will require coordination of actions and anti-crisis measures on the part of many states," he said, in particular.
The total number of people infected with coronavirus in the world over the past day reached 1 million 136 thousand, more than 62 thousand people died. Cases of infection were recorded in 208 countries.
