The Ministers of Defense of Russia and Turkey have discussed coordination in Syria

Today, telephone talks were held between the Ministers of Defense of Russia and Turkey, Sergey Shoigu and Hulusi Akar. According to TASS and the Ministry of Defense of Turkey, the Heads of military Departments have discussed regional security issues, the latest events in the Syrian province of Idlib, as well as measures to reduce tensions in the region within the framework of the agreements reached in Sochi.

 

 


It is known that the day before of the situation in the Idlib de-escalation zone was also in the spotlight during a telephone conversation between the Presidents of Russia and Turkey, Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

 

 

The Heads of the two states once again have highlihgted the importance of close coordination of the efforts of the two countries, including between the military departments, on various aspects of the Syrian resolution.
