Today, negotiations between the ministers of foreign affairs and defense of Russia and Egypt will take place in Moscow, in which Sergey Lavrov and Sergey Shoigu from Russian side and Sameh Shukri and Mohammed Ahmed Zaki from Egyptian side will participate.
As noted on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the heads of the ministries will hold separate meetings, as well as a joint meeting in the "two plus two" format.
The central topic of discussion is the situation in the Middle East and North Africa, in particular, Syrian and Libyan crises, the situation in Sudan, security problems in the Gulf region and the Palestinian settlement.
It is planned to pay special attention to the tasks of strengthening bilateral military and military-technical cooperation, cooperation in the fight against terrorism and the non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
