Russia strongly condemns the strike of the international coalition in the Afghan province of Kunduz, which killed 13 civilians. This is stated in the comments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, published on the website of the department.

“We strongly condemn the next crime of NATO troops in Afghan territory, we join the call of the UN Mission to conduct a thorough investigation and demand to bring the perpetrators to justice. Outraged by the fact that none of the previous incidents of this kind have been properly investigated, and no one has been punished”, the Russian Foreign Minister said, in particular.

We will remind that the ten victims of the air strike were minor children from the same family.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation paid special attention to the fact that the raid was made during the period of negotiations between the United States and the radical “Taliban” movement (banned in the Russian Federation).

“We are convinced that such atrocities postpone the beginning of the peace process in Afghanistan, lead to the bitterness of the population, it’s radicalization and the continuation of the war”, the Russian Foreign Minister stressed out.
