Russia expects Kyrgyzstan, under the new leadership, to continue its strategic partnership with Moscow and to adhere to existing agreements in various areas. This was stated by Spokesperson of Foreign Affairs Ministry of the Russian Federation Maria Zakharova at a briefing on Thursday.
“We are pleased that the situation is gradually stabilizing”, she said. “We expect that the new leadership of the Republic will make every effort to consolidate the situation in the country and will do it in a strictly legal manner, will continue the course of strategic partnership, alliance with the Russian Federation, will comply with the previous agreements in the political, military, economic, cultural and other areas of bilateral cooperation, as well as within the EAEU, CSTO, CIS and SCO”.
