The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation will develop the format of Erdogan's visit to Russia

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation will develop a format for a possible visit to the country by the Head of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, to attend the opening of the Cathedral Mosque in Simferopol. President of Russia Vladimir Putin has given the corresponding instruction to the Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry.

 

 

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, with the participation of interested religious organizations, should consider the format of a possible visit of the President of the Republic of Turkey to the Russian Federation to attend the opening of the Cathedral Mosque in Simferopol,” as it is noted in the text of the instruction published on the Kremlin website.

 

 

The report on the implementation of the order must be submitted before June 1st. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is appointed of being responsible.

 

 


It is known that, earlier, Putin has claimed that he had invited Erdogan to open a Cathedral Mosque in Crimea, and the other side had accepted the invitation.
