The United State can cancel the withdrawal of its troops from Syria, if the territory in the north of the Arab Republic along the Turkish border is occupied by government troops of the President Bashar al-Assad.
This was announced by the Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Cavusoglu at a press conference following talks with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov.
According to him, the creation of a security zone in the north of Syria is necessary to ensure the national security of Turkey, and this doesn’t violate the territorial integrity of the neighboring state.
“The United States said that if the al-Assad’s regime returns there, then they will not leave Syria” the head of Turkish Diplomacy noted, in particular.
At the same time, according to Cavusoglu, the withdrawal of American troops from Syria is important both for the country and for the entire region.
