The Presidents of Russia and Kyrgyzstan will discuss cooperation in the Collective Security Treaty Organiztation (CSTO)

The Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Kyrgyzstan on a state visit. In Bishkek, the head of the Russian state will hold talks with his Kyrgyz counterpart Sooronbay Jeenbekov. In addition, the program of the leaders of the two states is participation in the work of the states is participation in the work of the Russian-Kyrgyz interregional conference.

 

The central topics of discussion at the meeting between Putin and Jeenbekov will be the current state and prospects for the development of Russian-Kyrgyz strategic partnership and alliance relations, as well as issues of deeping cooperation in regional associations, including taking into account the chairmanship of Kyrgyzstan this year in the Shanghai Co-operation Organization (SCO) and Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).

 

Following the talks, it is planned to sign a joint statement and package of intergovernmental, interdepartmental, interregional and commercial agreements.
