The resumption of flights can become one of the topics of discussion at the possible talks between Russia and Egypt in the framework of the Russia – Africa Summit, the head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of representatives of Egypt Karim Darwish announced.
"This is a topic of bilateral relations between Russia and Egypt. I am sure that if there are bilateral negotiations between the countries, it will be on the agenda", - he said in particular.
Darwish stressed that the Egyptian side is doing everything possible to resume the flights between the countries.
"We will spare no effort to ensure that all requirements are met and we hope that flights will be resumed as soon as possible. We hope that the Russian authorities will give permission soon", - he said.
Flights between Russia and Egypt was suspended in November 2015 years after the Russian passenger liner сrash over the Sinai Peninsula.
