The Russian and Turkish Foreign Ministers have discussed preparations for the inter-Syrian talks

Russian and Turkish Foreign Ministers Sergey Lavrov and Mevlut Cavusoglu have discussed the preparation for the next round of talks in the Astana format. According to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the diplomats "reviewed the preparations for the next high-level meeting in Astana's format on Syria with emphasis on the necessity to start the work of the Constitutional Committee as soon as possible in order to implement UN Security Council resolution 2254 and the decisions of the Syrian National Dialogue Congress".

 

 

It is known that, the next round of negotiations on Syria will be held in the Kazakhstan capital on April 25th-26th. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic stated focusing on the negotiations would be on completing work on the formation and launch of a Constitutional Committee.
