The Russian Government has approved an agreement with the United Arab Emirates on the transfer of sentenced persons. The corresponding resolution is published on the official Internet portal of legal information.
"To approve and submit to the President of the Russian Federation for ratification in the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation the Agreement between the Russian Federation and the United Arab Emirates on the transfer of persons sentenced to imprisonment, signed in Moscow on June 26, 2019", the document reads.
The agreement was signed by Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation Alexander Konovalov and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
