Despite the negotiations in the US on a peaceful settlement in Afghanistan, the radical Taliban movement has announced the start of the traditional «spring offensive».
According to the Associated Press, the group issued in five languages a statement of intent to continue the fighting until all foreign forces left the country.
The statement also calls for avoiding civilian casualties.
Let’s remind that in recent months, the Taliban (banned in the Russian Federation) held several rounds of talks with the US Representatives, which resulted in the announcement of reaching preliminary agreements to resolve the multi-year conflict in the country.
