The talks between the presidents of Russia and Turkey started in Sochi

Russian and Turkish presidents Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan are continuing their talks in Sochi. The main topic of discussion is the situation in Syria, in particular,  the military operation of Ankara in the northeast of the country. Starting the discussion, Putin noted that the situation in Syria remains acute, and therefore consultations between Russia and Turkey on this issue are very much in demand, and everyone understands this.


"The situation in the region is very acute, we see it, and we understand, I think our meeting today, our consultations are very much in demand. I want to express the hope that the level of Russian-Turkish relations, which has been achieved recently, will play its role in the settlement of all complex issues that have developed in the region to date, and will find answers to all, even very complex issues in the interests of both Turkey and Russia, and all countries in the region, " RIA Novosti quotes Putin.
