The UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres calls to cease fire in Libya immediately and come back to political dialogue, his spokesman Stéphane Dujarric told the reporters.
The UN mission in Libya (UNSMIL) previously reported that 44 people were killed, more than 130 were injured in the bombing of a Tajoura migrant detention center in Tripoli.
The UN special envoy for Libya, Ghassan Salamé, said that this attack clearly could constitute a war crime, RIA Novosti writes.
"The Secretary-General reiterates his call for an immediate ceasefire in Libya and a return to political dialogue," added Dujarric.
