The United States didn’t eliminate the relocation of a military base from Turkey to Greece

22 April 2019

The United States may relocate military and equipment to Greece from the Incirlik base in Turkey. According to the US Democratic senator Bob Menendez, such a development of events is not excluded if the relations between Washington and Ankara continue to get worse.

At the same time, according to the politician, the American authorities "do not expect Turkey to go the wrong way."

Now Menendez is in Athens, and today he will meet with by the President of Greece, Prokopis Pavlopoulos.

It is known that, a number of Greek politicians expressed fears that the United States may use facilities in Greece to store nuclear weapons, which are now stationed in Incirlik, but the Greek authorities have denied this. However, Greek media mention this issue which continues to be popular.
