The United States is ready to provide medical assistance to Iran in the face of a pandemic, including artificial lung ventilation (ventilator) devices, US President Donald Trump told a briefing at the White House.
At the same time, according to the American leader, Tehran should ask Washington for assistance.
"...What should they do? Be smarter and make a deal," Trump added.
A few days ago, the US authorities already offered assistance to Iran, but the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, Mohammad Javad Zarif, rejected the offer, saying that Iran "would not accept advice from any American politician."
In Iran, the number of detected cases of coronavirus infection is about 82 thousand, more than 5100 people died.
