The Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Yury Ushakov, the president of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Sergey Katyrin, the president of the Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the Russian Academy of Sciences by E.M. Primakov Alexander Dynkin participated in the opening ceremony of the international forum "Primakov Readings".
Yury Ushakov read a greeting of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin: "The unique creative heritage of Evgeny M. Primakov is fully demanded in modern policy, diplomacy, the academic and public life. And it is quite natural as at the heart of outlook of this outstanding statesman and the thinker such basic values as humanity and responsibility for the fate of the world, steady following to the national interests of the Fatherland at respect of legitimate interests of other countries and strict observance of rules of international law lie".
Also Yury Ushakov said that on October 29, in day of the 90 anniversary of Primakov, the monument to Evgeny Primakov in the square at Smolenskaya Square - opposite to the building the MFA of Russia will be open. The Assistant to the President in the performance quoted Evgeny Primakov's words: "It is optional to be on friendly terms with all countries of the world, but it is possible and necessary to run business with them".
This year the forum "Primakov Readings" will last two days and will bring together more than 80 leading foreign experts from 33 countries and more than 600 representatives of the Russian academic, political and business community. A subject of "Primakov readings" in 2019 is "Return to confrontation: whether there are alternatives?" – covers the questions connected with risks of the international security and stability, degradation of a control system over arms.
The Group of Strategic Vision "Russia - Islamic world" was created in 2006 under the leadership of Evgeny M. Primakov and Mintimer Sh. Shaimiev. In activity of the Group of Strategic Vision Evgeny Primakov saw the major platform on creation and strengthening the dialogue between the Russian Federation and the countries of the Muslim world, on search of effective measures for counteraction to extremism and intolerance concerning representatives of different cultural or religious views, remaining forever the Honorary Chairman of the Group of Strategic Vision "Russia - Islamic world".
