Theresa May considers Iran as one of the key topics of the G20 summit

27 June 2019

At the G20 summit, which starts tomorrow, June 28, in Osaka, Japan, the British Prime Minister intends to discuss the importance of compliance with the terms of Iran nuclear deal and “de-escalation” of the crisis in the region.

European participants of the JCPOA, Russia, and China have repeatedly stated their support for the preservation of the deal.

"I think that what we need to see in relation to Iran at the moment is a de-escalation of the tensions that we have seen in that region. We will continue to work and I will continue to talk with my colleagues, France and Germany, about the importance of us acting to do everything we can to maintain the JCPOA," Theresa May told reporters.

She also said that climate change and vile terrorist propaganda continuing to spread online are important subjects to discuss.
