Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Nikolai Bulayev, along with commission members Pavel Andreev and Lyudmila Markina, have been appointed as observers for the early presidential elections in Uzbekistan. The press service of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation confirmed this on Friday.
"A total of 785 observers from international organizations and foreign countries have been accredited for the Uzbek presidential elections. Nikolai Bulayev, Pavel Andreev and Lyudmila Markina will represent the Russian CEC as observers," the statement reads.
In addition, the CEC informed that Uzbekistan citizens residing in Russia have the opportunity to vote in several cities including Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Rostov-on-Don, Novosibirsk and Vladivostok.
