Tourist potential of St. Petersburg to be presented in India, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Vietnam

Tourist opportunities of St. Petersburg will be presented in a format of roadshow in India, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Vietnam. TASS was informed about it in the city committee of tourism development.


"It is planned that the roadshow will take place in the fall in the Republic of India in the cities of Mumbai and Delhi; in the United Arab Emirates in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Tourist potential of the Northern capital will be presented in Riyadh and Jeddah, located in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam", told the committee.


The organizers of the events, along with the committee, are the city's tourism information bureau. Presentations aim to focus on St. Petersburg's existing demand for travel, as well as to intensify the promotion of St. Petersburg hospitality industry at the onset of the fall and winter season.


The committee also told that presentations of St. Petersburg tourist potential this summer are also held in CIS countries - in particular in Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.


Earlier similar presentations were held in various Russian cities. Petersburg's hospitality industry specialists told about tourist opportunities and offers to citizens of the South of the country, Volga region, the Urals, Western and Eastern Siberia, Moscow and Kaliningrad. "Representatives of the industry in these regions learned about the offers for travelers of all ages, about the novelties of the season, the objects of the "New cultural and tourist geography" and events of the Northern capital", added in the committee. Presentations for Russian audience are planned to be continued in autumn and winter period.


Earlier it was reported that in the first six months of this year St. Petersburg was visited by almost 3.8 million tourists, which is 32.7% higher than during the first half of 2021.
