US President-elect Donald Trump criticized Joe Biden’s decision to pardon his son, Hunter Biden, calling it a blatant abuse of power and a violation of justice.
“Does Joe’s pardon for Hunter include the January 6th 'hostages' who have been imprisoned for years? Such abuse and injustice!” Trump wrote on Truth Social, his social media platform.
By “hostages of January 6,” Trump refers to individuals who were charged and convicted in connection with the January 6, 2021, Capitol riots. Trump and his supporters have repeatedly claimed that some of these individuals faced unfair legal consequences, portraying them as political prisoners.
