Turkey and Kyrgyzstan are interested in LNR brick plant products

21 July 2023

According to the acting director of the Lutugino plant of building materials in the Lugansk People's Republic (LNR), Igor Matsyuk, there is significant interest in the products of the factory from potential buyers in Turkey and Kyrgyzstan. The product in high demand is called "kvadrobloks," which is a new type of building material similar to a brick. This design is exclusive to the Lutugino plant and is not manufactured anywhere else in Russia. Kvadrobloks are hollow columns made by gluing thin bricks together, and when installed, they are filled with concrete to form a sturdy fence element. The use of kvadrobloks accelerates the process of fence construction significantly.

The demand for kvadrobloks is already evident in several regions of Russia, such as Volgograd, Rostov, Ulyanovsk Oblasts and Krasnodar Krai. However, the factory has not yet started supplying its products outside of Russia. Nevertheless, both Turkey and Kyrgyzstan have expressed interest in the product. They are currently examining and testing the kvadrobloks and will make a decision on potential purchases in the future.

Additionally, the Lutugino plant has developed another unique product called "tetris-bloks," which are facing bricks that eliminate the need for plastering or puttying after installation. This design has garnered interest from various regions, including Crimea and Krasnodar Krai, with the first private house in Lugansk being constructed using tetris-bloks.

The Lutugino plant of building materials is the sole brick factory in the Lugansk People's Republic and has a production capacity of up to 700,000 bricks per month.
