Turkey assured Russia of the safety of Embassy employees

Russian and Turkish Foreign Ministers Sergey Lavrov and Mevlut Cavusoglu met on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.


The Foreign Ministers discussed the situation in the Middle East region with an emphasis on resolving the crisis in Syria, including in the context of the implementation of Russian-Turkish memoranda of understanding.


Some issues of bilateral relations were also touched upon.


"In connection with the threats received by the Russian Embassy in Turkey, the Turkish side assured that all necessary measures have been taken to ensure the security of Russian diplomatic missions and employees", the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry reported.
