Turkey to deploy Russian S-400 missile systems in December

Russian S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems will be deployed in Turkey in December this year, Director General of Turkey’s Undersecretariat for Defense Industries Ismail Demir said to Haberler.

 

 


"The S-400 systems will be deployed and ready in December", - the official was quoted as saying.

 

 


On September 15, Turkey's National Defense Ministry said that the delivery of the second battery of the Russian S-400 missile defense system has been completed.

 

 


In 2017, Ankara signed a contract with Russia to acquire the S-400 anti-missile complex costing 2.5 billion dollars Part of the loan amount Ankara will pay on its own, another part will be paid at the expense of the Russian loan.
