Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, speaking at a press conference in Ankara, addressed his counterpart from the Congo, Jean-Claude Gakosso, in Russian.
Gakosso is in Turkey on a working visit.
"Thank you very much," Cavusoglu said in Russian, addressing Gakosso after their joint press conference.
Cavusoglu said earlier that he had brought his knowledge of the Russian language to such a level that he could joke in Russian when meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Gakosso graduated from Leningrad State University in 1983 with a degree in Journalism, after which he became a successful politician in his country, where he held high positions in various years.
