Turkish Foreign Minister Holds Discussions on Bilateral Agenda with Russian Ambassador

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan recently engaged in a meeting with Russian Ambassador to Ankara Alexei Yerkhov. The discussions revolved around pertinent matters encompassing both the bilateral and regional context, as conveyed by the Russian embassy in Ankara.

 

The statement issued underscored that "the parties addressed current matters within the scope of the bilateral and regional agenda."

 

Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had informed reporters from his press pool that there are potential plans for Hakan Fidan to visit Russia, primarily aimed at laying the groundwork for a forthcoming meeting between the two heads of state. Erdogan expressed his optimism for a meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in the month of September.
