Turkey is ready to provide any support to Azerbaijan in any sphere if Baku needs it, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Tuesday at a meeting in Baku with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

"Today, the Azerbaijani people are fighting for the liberation of their lands and are able to do it, they have strength and potential for this. Of course, Turkey and the Turkish people are ready to provide any support to Azerbaijan in any sphere, if it needs it," the Turkish Foreign Minister said.

Cavusoglu emphasized that he had come to Baku to "once again demonstrate the support of Turkey and the Turkish people of Azerbaijan".

In his turn, Aliyev noted that the support of Ankara gives Azerbaijan strength. "It inspires us, gives us additional strength and at the same time plays an important role in ensuring stability and peace in the region," the head of state said. According to him, "decisive statements" by Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan "showed the whole world that Azerbaijan is not alone".
