The Turkish parliament approved on Tuesday a presidential decree providing for the sending of troops to Azerbaijan. The relevant document was published in the database of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (the Parliament).

The decree of President Tayyip Erdogan was supported by the deputies of the ruling Justice and Development Party, the main opposition People's Republican Party, Nationalist Unity Party and the  "Good Party".

This decree envisages the sending of military servicemen of the Turkish Armed Forces to Azerbaijan for one year.

On November 9, Presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev, as well as Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, signed a joint statement on the complete cessation of military operations in Nagorno Karabakh. The Russian leader said, in particular, that the Azerbaijani and Armenian sides would remain in their positions, while Russian peacekeepers would be deployed in the region.

The memorandum on the establishment of a joint Russian-Turkish center to control the ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh was signed on November 11 as a result of negotiations by video link between Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Turkish Military Minister Hulusi Akar.
