Early morning, Israel conducted missile strikes on Syrian army positions in Deir ez-Zor province. A spokesperson from the Syrian Armed Forces Command reported this to the SANA news agency.
The attack resulted in injuries to two soldiers and caused material damage.
"The aggressive attack targeted military facilities on the outskirts of the city of Deir ez-Zor," the spokesperson specified.
According to the Al Hadath TV channel based in Dubai, Israeli missiles struck the command center and warehouses of Shiite militias located in the Iraqi border town of Abu Kamal. The report indicates that the Shiite fighters, aligned with the Syrian army, incurred casualties in both personnel and equipment.
The most recent Israeli strikes in the Syrian border region near Iraq occurred on November 9, 2022. During that incident, drones targeted a convoy transporting Iranian weapons and oil products, resulting in the deaths of 14 Shiite fighters, as reported by Al Hadath.
