UAE Ambassador called SPIEF opportunity for Abu-Dhabi and Moscow to find new ways of cooperation

13 June 2023

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2023) will be an opportunity for Abu Dhabi and Moscow to outline new prospects for the development of bilateral relations, believes Mohammed Ahmed Al Jaber, the UAE Ambassador in Moscow.

This year, the UAE will take part in the forum as a guest country.

"This is an opportunity to outline further prospects for joint cooperation. I am convinced that following the forum we will come up with new ideas on how to develop our relations in the future," the ambassador said in a commentary aired Tuesday on Channel One.

SPIEF Director Alexei Valkov spoke about the preparation process. "The schedule of the leaders who take part in the talks is planned by the second. We know for a fact that protocol officers come to measure how long it takes to go from one point of the "ExpoForum" center to another and put it in the schedule, so tight is the schedule of the forum participants," he said.

This year SPIEF will take place on June 14-17 and the main topic of the business program is "Sovereign development as the basis of a just world: joining forces for future generations". The organizer is Roscongress Foundation. TASS is a media partner of the event.
