UAE Ambassador to Moscow Mohammed Ahmed Al-Jaber conveyed a message from Emirati Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan at a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
"On January 13, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov received United Arab Emirates Ambassador to Moscow Mohammed Ahmed Al-Jaber, who delivered a personal message from UAE Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan," the Russian diplomatic office said in a statement.
In addition, Lavrov and the UAE ambassador discussed topical issues of further development of friendly Russian-Emirati relations, including building up mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, transport, industry, tourism and the oil and gas sector. "The importance of foreign policy coordination, primarily in the UN Security Council, and deepening dialogue at various levels on international and Middle Eastern issues of mutual interest was also noted," the Russian foreign ministry added.
