An absentee funeral prayer (Salat al-Ghaib) for the victims of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria will be held on Friday in all the mosques in the United Arab Emirates, WAM news agency reports.
"His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, president of the UAE, has ordered to offer funeral prayers in all mosques in the country for the victims of the earthquake in the friendly Republic of Turkey and in the brotherly Syrian Arab Republic," the report said. According to the president's directive, Salat al-Ghaib will take place after the Friday noon prayers.
