UN Reports Nearly 100 Israeli Strikes on Gaza Schools Over Two Months

18 December

Israeli forces have conducted close to 100 strikes on schools in the Gaza Strip over the past two months, according to a report by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), as cited by Al Jazeera.

The report states that UN agencies documented 95 attacks on school buildings in Gaza between October 6 and December 15. Many of these schools were being used as shelters for displaced Palestinians.

The northern part of Gaza, which has been under heavy siege, bore the brunt of these attacks, with 61 incidents recorded in that area. Four schools were struck on December 14 and 15 alone.
