UN Warns Over 2,000 Patients in Gaza Risk Losing Medical Care

15 January

More than 2,000 hospital patients in Gaza could lose access to critical medical services due to a severe fuel shortage, according to a report by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), as cited by Qatar's Al Jazeera.

The report highlights that the fuel crisis jeopardizes the operation of healthcare facilities in the region, directly impacting over 2,000 individuals in need of life-saving treatment. Partially operational hospitals in Gaza have no fuel reserves and rely solely on limited supplies from international organizations to sustain essential medical services, the OCHA noted.
