Ural Airlines has canceled all flights to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Armenia, Azerbaijan and Israel until the end of March, according to the air carrier's Telegram channel on Saturday.
"Due to the current geopolitical situation, Ural Airlines is forced to cancel the following international flights: to the UAE from 04.03 to 26.03.2022; to Armenia from 04.03 to 26.03.2022; to Azerbaijan from 05.03 to 26.03.2022; to Israel from 04.03 to 26.03.2022," the statement said.
Earlier, the airline company announced the cancellation of flights to Hungary, Spain, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Portugal and Turkey from March 1 in connection with the closure of the airspace of European countries. On Friday, an Ural Airlines flight from Krasnoyarsk to Dubai (UAE) was detained for document checks. Its passengers were flown back to Krasnoyarsk via Yekaterinburg on another aircraft.
Ural Airlines is one of the leading Russian airlines in terms of passenger traffic. The geography of its flights covers more than 200 destinations. The air fleet consists of Airbus aircraft.
