US and UK Conduct Further Strikes Against Houthi Facilities in Yemen

01 February

The United States and the United Kingdom have conducted additional strikes against the facilities of the Houthi rebel group (Ansar Allah), within Yemen. This information was relayed by Al Masirah TV, which is affiliated with the Houthis.

The channel reported that the latest attack targeted the Al-Jabbana neighborhood in the port city of Hodeidah, situated along the Red Sea coast. Simultaneously, the Lebanese TV channel Al Mayadeen confirmed the sounds of explosions in Hodeidah and the presence of US aircraft in the coastal regions of Yemen.

On January 31, the Houthis announced that the US and UK had launched strikes on the city of Saada, which serves as the administrative hub of the eponymous province. In response, the US military's Central Command stated that they had engaged a surface-to-air missile system in Houthi-controlled territory that "was deemed an immediate threat to a US aircraft."
