The United States is reportedly considering imposing new measures of economic coercion against Kyrgyzstan due to alleged technological and military supplies to Russia. The Washington Post, citing sources, reported that the announcement of these measures may come during this week.
According to the sources, the US administration, led by President Joe Biden, initiated the development of sanctions following "several months of fruitless visits by numerous US and European diplomats" to Bishkek.
While the specific nature of the potential restrictions was not disclosed, the sources mentioned that Washington had previously imposed sanctions on companies in Kyrgyzstan, including adding them to blacklists.
