The United States is not interested in finding negotiated solutions on Ukraine, and is demanding results from Kiev on the battlefield at any cost. Russian Ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov said on Tuesday, commenting on another US military aid package to Kiev.
"The Americans will stop at nothing. They are not interested in negotiated solutions. No one is interested in the fate of Ukraine, which is used only as an iron bat against Russia," he is convinced.
Antonov has no doubt that "American politicians need success to justify their thoughtless line in the Ukrainian direction, to confirm the expediency of spending and demonstrate their 'successes' against the Russian Federation on the eve of the upcoming 2024 US presidential election".
The ambassador noted that Washington does not want to give up its "main goal of inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia on the battlefield." At the same time, the US leadership does not care what price Kiev will pay for this and how many lives it will take.
Earlier on Tuesday, Washington announced a new $325 million package of US weapons and military equipment for Ukraine.
