US Strikes Houthi Government Complex in Northwestern Yemen

17 March

The US military carried out a series of strikes on a government complex used by the Ansar Allah movement (Houthis) in Yemen’s northwestern province of Al Jawf, according to Houthi Health Ministry spokesperson Anis al-Asbahi.

"The American adversary launched four strikes on the government complex in Al Hazm district, Al Jawf province," al-Asbahi wrote on his X page. He did not specify whether there were casualties or injuries from the attack.

On March 15, following an order from President Donald Trump, the US began launching massive strikes against Houthi targets in Yemen. According to US Central Command, the operation aims to protect American interests and ensure freedom of navigation. In response, the Ansar Allah movement twice attacked the US aircraft carrier USS Harry Truman in the northern Red Sea using missiles and drones.

According to the latest data from the Houthi-run Health Ministry, US strikes on Yemen have resulted in 53 deaths and at least 98 injuries.
