V Russian-Turkish Public Forum starts in St Petersburg

The fifth session of the Russian-Turkish Public Forum has started in Saint Petersburg.

 

 


This forum is a platform for dialogue between the leaders of Russian and Turkish civil societies, as well as a part of the High-Level Cooperation Council, formed by the Russian and Turkish presidents in 2010.  

 

 


The co-chairs of the Symposium are  Eleonora Mitrofanova, head of the Rossotrudnichestvo (Russian Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation), and  Berat Conkar,  the Member of Grand National Assembly of Turkey.

 

 


The event is actively attended by representatives of business, academic and expert communities, as well as the ministers and diplomats.

 

 

Turkish Ambassador to Moscow Mehmet Samsar during his speech emphasized that the Russian-Turkish Public Forum is one of the pillars for the high-level dialogue between the States in all areas and helps to develop Russian-Turkish relations.
