Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin and his Turkish counterpart, Mehmet Kemal Bozay, held a phone call to address global food security issues.
"The parties focused on the situation in the Middle East and ensuring global food security," the Russian Foreign Ministry stated.
The talks also included an exchange of views on pressing regional and international topics of mutual interest, including matters currently being reviewed by the UN Security Council and General Assembly.
The call was initiated by the Turkish side.
