Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin said that during political consultations with Turkey in Istanbul, he informed the Turkish side in the most detailed way about the absolutely aggressive behavior of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
"We discussed in detail what is happening in Ukraine, in Donbass and the new regions of the Russian Federation. We tried to inform the Turkish side in as detailed as possible about the true situation on the ground, emphasizing the absolutely aggressive behavior on the part of the AFU and attacks on civilians in Donbass and other Russian territories. In this regard, it was important for us to inform Turkey of this situation, which, unfortunately, is being deliberately distorted by the Western media. Fake information is flowing on a large scale," he told Russian reporters on Monday.
Vershinin recalled that the last round of talks between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations took place in Istanbul. "You remember how it all ended - with the aggressive and unconstructive behavior of the Ukrainian side. On the contrary, from our side there were statements that we were ready to discuss on the basis of the goals that were stated during the special military operation," he added.
