On February 23, the agreement on mutual visa cancellation between Russia and Qatar signed on December 27, 2019, comes into force.
This is stated in the message of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
"On February 23, 2020, the agreement between the government of the Russian Federation and the government of the State of Qatar on the mutual cancellation of visa requirements for citizens of the Russian Federation and citizens of the State of Qatar, signed in Moscow on December 27, 2019, comes into force", the Russian diplomatic Department noted, in particular.
According to the agreement, Russian and Qatari citizens who "do not intend to work, study or reside in the territory of another state are exempt from visa requirements".
Each stay cannot exceed 90 days.
The total period of permitted stay of Russian and Qatari citizens on the territory of another country without visas, however, should not exceed 90 days for each period of 180 days.
