Vladimir Putin and the Prime Minister of Ethiopia discussed the fight against coronavirus

Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of the Federative Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Abiy Ahmed. The main topic of discussion, as reported by the Kremlin press service, was the fight against coronavirus.


The conversation was initiated by the Ethiopian side.


"While discussing the situation caused by the spread of the coronavirus, both sides stressed the importance of invigorating efforts of the entire international community, including the IMF and the World Bank, to combat the infection," the message reads.


They also discussed the development of bilateral relations.


Ethiopia is a state in East Africa. A third of the country's population is Muslims.
