Vladimir Putin congratulated Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on Independence Day of Kazakhstan

Vladimir Putin sent a message of greetings to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the occasion of the country’s national holiday, Independence Day, which is celebrated today.


"The President of Russia noted Kazakhstan’s socioeconomic, scientific, technical and numerous other successes, its high international prestige, as well as its constructive role in addressing current regional and international issues," reads the greeting message published one the Kremlin website.


The Russian leader also stressed that relations between Russia and Kazakhstan were dynamically developing in the spirit of strategic partnership and alliance.


"The President of Russia expressed confidence that Russia and Kazakhstan would continue to build up their mutually beneficial ties in the interests of better stability and security on the Eurasian continent".
