Vladimir Putin extended the period of non-working days until May 11

The period of non-working days in Russia will last until May 11, Russian President Vladimir Putin said today, speaking at a meeting with the heads of Russian regions.


In general, according to him, the country managed to slow down the spread of the epidemic.


"The daily number of new cases has relatively stabilized. However, the peak of morbidity has not yet passed, and therefore all citizens will need to be collected and focused in the coming days," the head of state said.


As Vladimir Putin stressed, the lifting of restrictions imposed in connection with the coronavirus would be implemented in stages.


The total number of people infected with the coronavirus in Russia, according to the latest data, is 93 558 people. In terms of the number of infected people, Russia overtook Iran and moved up to the eighth place among all countries in the world.


During the day, 72 people died in Russia, the total number of deaths reached 867. 1110 people recovered, 8456 in total since the beginning of the epidemic.
