The next week - March 28 to April 5 - will be non-working in Russia with the preservation of wages. The goal of this measure is to slow down the spread of coronavirus in the country.
This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin in his special address to the Russians today due to the situation with the spread of a new coronavirus infection.
The head of state also said that due to the difficult epidemiological situation, the vote on amendments to the Constitution, previously scheduled for April 22, will be postponed to a later date.
Only over the past day, 163 new cases of coronavirus were registered in Russia. The total number of cases in the country is 658 people.
Cases of infection were registered in 55 regions. There are no deaths due to the virus yet.
