Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a congratulatory telegram to his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of his birthday, noting his personal contribution to the development of the strategic partnership between the two countries.
"It is difficult to overestimate your personal contribution to the strengthening of relations of the strategic partnership between our countries," reads, in particular, the message, published on the website of the President of Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan, as the Russian leader noted, "is confidently moving along the path of social and economic development, strengthening its positions in the international arena."
"I sincerely value the trust and understanding between us. I look forward to continuing our fruitful joint work for the benefit of the peoples of Russia and Azerbaijan," Vladimir Putin concluded.
Tomorrow, December 24, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev turns 58 years old.
